House of Sumegha is built around the belief that everyday clothing should feel effortless, comfortable, and beautiful. We work with natural fabrics, timeless silhouettes, and handcrafted textiles to create pieces you'll reach for every day—not just on special occasions.

Most of our collections are crafted using pure cotton handloom fabrics sourced from artisan weaving clusters across India. Whenever a garment uses a different fabric, it will be clearly mentioned on the product page.

Many of our fabrics are woven on traditional handlooms by skilled artisans. We also work with thoughtfully sourced woven textiles that preserve India's rich textile heritage. Each product description clearly mentions the fabric type.

Pure handloom cotton naturally has a crisp texture when new. This is completely normal and a sign of authentic woven cotton. After the first wash, the fabric softens beautifully while retaining its strength and breathability.

Natural cotton may experience minimal shrinkage after the first wash. We account for this during garment construction. Following our wash care instructions helps maintain the garment's shape and fit.

We recommend:

· Gentle hand wash or machine wash on a delicate cycle.

· Use mild detergent.

· Wash dark and light colours separately.

· Do not bleach.

· Dry in shade.

· Iron on medium heat if needed.

Proper care helps your garment stay beautiful for years.

Some naturally dyed or handloom fabrics may release a small amount of excess colour during the first few washes. This is
common with handcrafted textiles and usually settles after initial washes. Washing separately is recommended.

Where applicable, our fabrics undergo pre-processing before stitching. However, as natural fibres behave differently from synthetic fabrics, slight shrinkage after the first wash is normal.

Small irregularities in weaving, colour, or texture are characteristics of handcrafted textiles—not defects. They make every garment unique and reflect the artisan's craftsmanship.

Each product includes a detailed size guide with garment measurements. If you're between sizes or need assistance, our customer support team will be happy to help you find the best fit.

At the moment, we do not offer custom stitching or design modifications. This allows us to maintain consistent quality across every piece we create.

Whether a garment includes lining depends on its design and fabric. Product descriptions mention this wherever applicable.

We photograph our products in natural lighting to represent colours as accurately as possible. However, slight variations may occur due to different screen settings and display brightness.

Every House of Sumegha garment is thoughtfully designed and ethically crafted in India, celebrating the country's rich weaving traditions and skilled artisans.
